Is it normal to turn off powerpoints b4 leaving the house from fear of a fire?!

That's right ladies and gents! I have this obsession of having to turn of most powerpoints in the house before I leave as I think they will start a fire whilst I'm gone! It's like when you're on the way to work and you get this nagging feeling you left the iron on in the morning. So before I leave I will go through every bedroom (lucky it's a one bedroom) and make sure the powerpoints are off and I also check things like the oven. Even though I have improved with this, (there are certain things I leave on now), the part that worries me is that sometimes I could stand there staring at the oven and it would take me a few moments for me to be satisfied that it's turned off and nothing will happen. It's weird, I know this already, but does anyone think it could be some form of OCD? Is this normal?

It's a form of OCD. Like before I go out of the house I'll double check the stove or whatever, or make sure I locked the back sliding door...twice lol. It's a form of OCD. There's nothing necessarily wrong with it but if it bothers you that you do this then you can see a doctor about it. It's normal, people dobthe same thing
