Is it normal to treat life like a video game?

Whenever I work out or practice a new skill, I like to pretend that I'm acquiring experience and that my stats are going to increase. I think of food and sleep as restoring HP, and when I get a promotion at work, it means that I've undergone a class change. I tend to treat obstacles in life as though they are levels that I need to beat.

Fuck yes, I do this too and so do my friends! If something really crazy happens, like one of us has a crazy fall and lands on their feet or does something pimping we always yell "LEVEL UP!" Or if we're going somewhere we always say we've started a new mission.

I've never thought of that before. That might make life seem more managable - I'm probably gonna start doing that now, haha.

Speaking of coins, do you know the effect that the digestive system has on coins? Pretty.

Hahaha! I do this too and I don't even play video games much anymore. And the static characters in games who say the same thing over and over again that is sometimes something partially useful but usually blabbering...those people are everywhere irl!

Ordinary life could use a little sprucing.

I don't have more than one life like Mario and Luigi so if I get crushed by a car, it's a permanent game over for me. Mushroom won't make me grow bigger and shoot fire. If this one makes you happy and helps you to make better decision in life, there's nothing wrong here.
