Is it normal to think vegetarians are illogical in every ways?

They say non vegetarians are bad people, cause meat eating is wrong, other animals are dieing for our hunger of meat. Let me ask them, do not other animals eat meat? Tigers, Lions, Wolves they all kill other animals (cattles, deers, zebras, etc) and eat their meat. Then they say '' but they are carnivorous animals, they cant eat plants, they need meat to live''. But then we humans are omnivorous animals, we can eat both plants and meats, as can other omnivorous animals like monkeys. Do monkeys need to eat meat when they can eat plants (at least fruits). No! But they do! Carnivorous animals eats meat, herbivorous animals eats plants, omnivorous animals eats both. Then they say ''its wrong, animals have life''. Do not plants have life? ''Oh but they have fewer sense organs compared to animals''. So does this mean a blind person or a person born without eyes have no right to live because they have one less sense organ compared to average people? Some vegetarians even eat fish, dont they have life? Carrots, spinaches have their own life before we kill them to have them. Mushrooms have their own life! Yeasts (a fungus used to make bread and alcoholes) have their own life! But vegetarians dont value their life. When we have a bacterial disease, dont we take medicine to kill those bacterias. They may be harmful bacteria, but some harmless bacteria inn the body are killed too! Some are wearing shoes made of animals! However much different we humans may consider ourselves from other animals, at the end of the day we are animals, omnivorous animals. When we are chased by tigers we are preys, when we chase cows for their flesh we are predators, we take the role of both. When we breath millions of micro organisms in the atmosphere are dieing, but we need to breath to sustain life. Animals die any way one day, so rather than letting Cows get wasted after their death, I hunt them and feed both my self and my pet dog, a carnivorous animal. But only edible animals like Cows and Chickens should be killed for the purpose of eating, not those that are not edible like Tigers and Rats, the carnivorous animals. ''We dont need to have meats to sustain life?'' Tell other omnivorous animals like monkeys, bears and pandas that too!!!

Vegetarians are not illogical in every way. You clearly have put no though into this situation. Sure animals eat other animals, but humans don't just eat them; they put them through an immense amount of suffering anterior to their slaughter. We cram them into unfit cages, modify their bodies in favor of the workers maintaining them (ex: clipping beaks), get them pregnant just to kill their babies and harvest their milk, and so much more. They don't get to run, stretch, or even keep their own babies which are things every animal should have the right to do. A wild animal is at least free until killed by another animal. Think about it, would you rather live a long depressing life, or a good short one?
And as for the point you are trying to make with eating plants, most of them have internal seeds so that animals will eat them and distribute them in their waste. Poop is great for plants, so plants take advantage of this. There are animals that die subsequent to giving birth for the purpose of providing their body as a meal to their babies. Likewise, plants make this type of sacrifice to their seeds.
Nowadays, we are capable of avoiding eating animals and maintaining a healthy life. There are things found in animals that our bodies need, but there are vitamins that they can be found in too.
Humans contribute to the unnecessary suffering of other animals, but we don't need to. There are plenty of ways to avoid it, so why not do it

Meh I don't care tbh, although I don't understand people who say they're vegetarian because it's cruel to eat animals yet they still eat fish,

People who eat fish aren't vegetarian. I'm not being elitist, it's just a fact. Vegetarians don't eat meat, and dead fish are meat!

Exactly my point, but a lot of people still claim to be vegetarian even though they eat fish

    I think being a vegetarian is a bit pretentious. That's why I'm a VAGitarian ;)

    Jokes, people, jokes...

Anyways, I feel that people who abstain from eating meat are doing it for the wrong reason. Yes, I understand that by not eating meat, you are not supporting the slaughterhouses that kill off cattle and whatnot and you aren't supporting the assholes who do harm to these animals before they die. I by the way, wholeheartedly agree with these people that say they SHOULD give these animals the most humane treatment possible before being killed. That's one of my main components in my argument FOR eating meat.

However, by not eating meat, you are losing out on obtaining protein for your body and even good fat. Now, a lot of people would probably say ''but yeah...you could get those from other foods.'' They are right about it. Whatever the case it comes down the preference. As a human being, being an omnivore I like my meat and by my standards I'll feel a lot better eating meat, knowing that the animals were put down in the most humane ways possible.

The more logical arguments against eating meat aren't so much for the fact that we kill the animals but rather the way they "live" their lives before we kill them.

I'm not a vegetarian, but your arguments against being vegetarian aren't brilliant.

  • Yes, other animals eat meat. But that doesn't mean we have to do it too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but monkeys are overwhelming frugivorous. Any "meat" in their diet comes from insects.

Blind people can feel pain. Plants cannot.

By definition, people who eat fish are not vegetarians.

Most people would agree that the life of a germ is very different to that of a cow or pig.

All humans will eventually die too. So why let your life go to waste? Consider feeding yourself to a lion.

And no, humans do not need meat to live. Because we are humans, not bears.

Tigers and other carnivores need meat to be healthy. Humans do not. Animals are sentient as are disabled humans. Plants are not. Everything you just said in the main post is illogical, which is pretty ironic.

I think its normal to dislike any group who is snotty and pretentious about their ideas to the point of shoving it in your face. I don't care what anybody says 90% of vegetarians/vegans will preach to everybody about their lifestyle and insinuate that they are somehow better than everyone who eats meat.
"How do you know if a vegetarian is coming to your barbeque?" Dont worry they will f*****g tell you"

After like 5 sentences down I realized that it was the same old shit meat eaters come out with.

I know right? They can't come up with anything intelligent (even if the person themselves could be considered so) so they just spout bullshit to protect their flimsy morals.

I like meat, I've always liked meat, and I'll continue liking meat. I RESPECT MEAT.

I also respect vegetarians, as long as they don't preach to me.

This environmentalist bullshit is all a fad and a trend fueled by angry hipsters and new age dimwits, exactly like atheism is. Most of these people are motivated by stereotypes and sheep mentality, not by their own personal beliefs.

    Things that are trending nowadays:

    - being a hipster

    - being a environmentalist vegan

    - being an atheist

    - being an effeminate liberal

    - being a hypocritical feminist fucktard

    - being egotistical, anti-social, anti-family, anti-kids

    - being a pseudo-faggot or an advocate for minorities that don't give a crap about anyone but themselves

    Things that aren't trending nowadays:

Being an authentic, unbiased, logical person that acts rational and uses common sense

i totaly agree with you.. humans are omnivores.. we can and should eat meat!! meat industry is a major part of economy.. also have these evironmentalist vegans ever thought that what will happen if we leave all these billions of chickens, pigs, cows, turkeys, fishes, etc etc in captivity into wild?? they'll die out starvation and kill everyone else too..

i am not saying eat green sea turtles or drink shark fin soup.. please dont.. but there should be no problem in eating Bacon or chicken nuggetst..

and now after reading such a post all i want to do is eat a delicious tandoori chicken..

We can, but that doesn't mean we should. There wouldn't be so many cows pigs chickens etc if we didn't keep farming them, you know.

  • Being an atheist (and therefore believing in science seing as it is a PROVEN FACT) is not illogical. Vegitarians are illogical because they refuse to eat meat out of sympathy for the animals but they use products and wear clothes made in china by slave labour. Good jobn vegitarians, you're only under nourishing yourselves.

An uneducated vegetarian is a fool. Humans are omnivorous and require a balanced diet that includes some animal fat and protein. If one cuts this out of their diet ("I won't eat anything with eyes", is the one that gets me) without filling the void with specific vegetable proteins, as they reach middle age, many of their systems will show the lack of a proper diet and begin to break down prematurely.
Every proper vegetarian meal I've ever eaten (I am not a vegetarian, but have had many friends who are, over the years), has been a very elaborate and complex meal, not just a meal lacking meat.
