Is it normal to think the gov. is more responsible than the terrorists in 9/11?

The 9/11 incident is a tragedy that took away the lives of a lot of innocent people, and we can all agree that al-qaeda is the evil behind it.

Yet, I can't stop myself from thinking that the US government is the true cause behind it. And I hate myself in thinking like this, whenever I talk to people about it I feel odd and singled out.

From the fundings to al-qaeda, to the invasion of Iraq, hate towards the west was started by the US, and as the hate accumulate it resulted in terrorist attacks and more tragedies.

You're wrong about both becuz we went into Iraq first during the 1990s for the first Gulf War also the CIA sent military aid plus forces into the Soviet War Invasion of Afghanistan helping out the local mujahideen which would then become Al-Qaeda after Osama Bin Laden founded it.

Everyone seems to ignore that Islamic fundamentalist countries have been killing people needlessly for the last 2,000 years. Did we upset them? Yes. Are they evil? No.

But we cannot ignore that until Islam and every other religion, generally speaking, admits that their faith has no ground in the modern world, they will never stop. They even commit genocide on other Islamic people for having very slightly different styles of faith.

Muslim terrorism will never end if we simply bend over for them. They will destroy the modern world in the name of their god if they are not stopped.

It seems like the current Cold War is:

United States + Saudi Arabia VS Russia + Iran

Oh, and the Saudis did 9/11. So just follow the money—or the petrodollar in this case—and you'll see just how far this rabbit hole goes.

We're not the good guys, but no one is.

I'm pretty sure the people in the actual planes, thought they were causing a terror attack. However the "masterminds" of the attack could very easily be Bush or someone in government. They must have known something was about to happen, and they either ignored or let the disaster happen.

Well the invasion of Iraq (the second one anyway) came after 9/11.
But look, obviously there's a lot of truth to that view, I think it's reasonably accepted that the CIA funded/created Al-Qaeda.
So does that mean we should excuse the terrorists? Of course not, their expansionist ideology is evil and terrifying.
If you're in the US, given the level of nationalism/patriotism, it's not surprising you feel singled out for having that view. The truth is more complicated then a lot of people would like to admit.

But in this case, I think it should serve to remind us to mistrust the government by default. They are liars and crooks. But certainly not to excuse any kind of terrorism or fundamentalism, not to become an Islamic apologist.

We weren't in Iraq or Afghanistan before 9/11. We weren't in Iraq until I think 2003.
