Is it normal to think that the justin bieber hate is a little ridiculous?

As a guy I can say I have no problem with Justin Bieber at all. He can sing, he has lots of money he can date pretty much whoever he wants and it isn't like it's his choice which songs he sings. Yeah, the songs he sings now are fucking stupid but let's be honest; if someone offered you the amount of money he's being paid to sing shitty songs to a bunch of girls I'm pretty sure most would say yes even it was just for the money. He's still a kid so he could maybe turn his music around when he gets older. I don't think it'd be something I'd ever listen to but that doesn't mean he's going to sing pop songs for the rest of his life.

As for his fans, they are definitely annoying but 12 year old fan girls have always been annoying. The only difference is that now they all have cellphones and can post things on the internet.

I'm not trying to sing the guys praises or anything but damn, can't we find someone better deserving of our hate. I hate to think people have gotten so bitter that they feel the need to bitch about some teenager singing love songs to 12 year old girls. Who gives a fuck. I normally wouldn't care but when guys are talking about him just as much as girls are just because they "hate" him and think that he's a "faggot", I think it's time to pull their heads out of their asses and find a fucking job.

    I share your sentiments. If I was offered ridiculous wads of cash and eternal financial security to sing stupid shit, you bet I'd be singing stupid shit. I don't hate Beiber or his fans. When I was a kid, I was into Britney and Backstreet Boys, not exactly QUALITY music. In fact, EVERY CHICK I KNEW was into it. Even the ones that likes rock were into at least ONE of those silly little pop groups.

    Get the fuck over it, folks. Most of us "90's kids" are still way too young to be bitching about what the tweens like.

    I totally agree! I saw a girl post on fb "I hate how people post about Justin beiber all the time." I'm sure you see how counter productive THAT was -.- Another time Justin beiber happened to pass through a friend of mines small town. She was pissed that everyone was so hyped about it she said he should go kill himself.. I think it's extreme. I personally just don't acknowledge him, since he's just not my cup of tea. People just love to hate lol

    When people say, "I hate Justin Bieber" what they're often saying is, "Why should he get to have what he has, when I don't have it? I'll bring him down a notch or two by making sure everyone knows it cool to hate him". I bet there's a surprising minority of people who actually hate him compared to a majority of people who aren't happy with the way their own lives turned out and, rather than face up to that (or better, do something about it), they project it onto someone else.

    For me, he has so little impact on my life and I think I've only ever heard part of one of his songs (something about a baby, which I presume is a song about parenting). The only reason I know who he is, is because of the hate and - because of that - I do sometimes use him as a cultural marker in the many times a day I deal with a culture other than my own.

    I think alike. My bf's little sister and his cousin are fans and I see no harm in them liking Justin Bieber. I remember I felt the same way for the Backstreet Boys and NSync some years ago. Justin Bieber is just a teenager who has been very lucky. No need to hate him, he's no terrorist. I think his songs will evoluate as his little fans grow bigger.
