Is it normal to think that shorter hair help you think better?
Whenever my hair grows too long (more than 3/4 of an inch) I begin to not think clearly, especially when I am trying to come up with ideas for novels, etc.

I don't advise a haircut, man. All hairdressers are in the employment of the government.
Hairs are your aerials. They pick up signals from the cosmos, and transmit them directly into the brain. This is the reason bald-headed men are uptight.
In terms of looks, I seem to associate intelligence, among other things, when I see a short hair style. As to whether or not short hair can actually have an effect on patterns of thought, I'm not sure. I've got shoulder length hair and some days I think clearer than others. This happens to me regardless of hair length. The main issues I had with my Rapunzel hair was the psychical strain it put on my head, the lethal weapon it would become if I turned my head quickly and the fact that I had great disdain for it.
Dappled!! Christ, that's funny.
I guess you play with longer hair more often, so you're more distracted..?
Well 3/4 isn't long at all. If you had really long hair and you played with it, I could see how that could be a problem at keeping concentration and could make you think less but 3/4 long.. Nah.
