I've noticed that when a angry or messed up post is summitted, people on here seem to be more interested in insulting the OP or giving passive agressive comments than actually helping the OP/reasonably talking to him or her. That or they simply brush the OP off as a "Troll" and doesn't take him or her seriously. IIN?
You're talking specifically about posts where the OP is aggressive and angry themselves. While it would be neat if commenters had the emotional aptitude to still be polite, you can't hold it against anyone to respond to the OP in the same manner.
It's expected anything goes on the internet.
I usually try to be helpful because I like people to be helpful towards me. I might joke with people but I never try to be mean even though sometimes people have said I am but it's unintentional.
The only times I am intentionally rude is when I am trying to get through to somebody and I think they need a wake up call.
some people can talk shit hiding behind a computer but in person is usually some stupid nerd with no self confidence. they tend to do this to compensate for their inadequacy it seems.
The nerd comment is unneeded, along with confidence. The last bit is right though. Include terriotorial behaviour as well.

Depends on the subject but a lot of times that's the only way to get through to them
