Is it normal to think that girls who shave the side of their head look gorgeous

It's a new trend or style for girls to shave one side of the head, and I think it looks super hot. Maybe because it seems so edgy and dangerous and I feel like it adds character.

Tilda Swinton made that look sexy.

Like a lot of things, it can look good on the right person but doesn't automatically suit everyone.
& these days it's not new by any means IMO.
I know a girl who was rocking that hairstyle nearly 10 years ago...

Neuro, I know where you're coming from but I disagree to a point.
Self-expression (tattoos, piercings, hair color/style) is becoming less of an issue in more workplaces all the time.
Obviously you're not likely to end up in a highly professional environment but most people with this taste in style probably wouldn't want to anyway.
Generally "artsy" type people who may work in fashion, music stores, tattoo parlours, etc.
Wherever being creative & unique are not looked down on I suppose

  • I think that is the most GOD awful hairstyle in the history of hairstyles to be honest. Whenever I see anyone with the side/s of their head shaved, I just think "oh, contratulations, you officially look like every other trend following moron on the face of the planet". Don't get me wrong, I believe very much in self expression, but with stuff like tattoos, not with stuff like copying miley cyrus' hair styles.

Alright, I'm going to go ahead and let myself be the overly-conservative prude of the post, but I don't care for it. I don't dislike it, and I know that I could be wrong, but when I look a woman with that kind of style, I feel like I am looking at a woman who likely works a low-level job or doesn't work at all, goes to school, has that philosophy of "I'm edgy, I want to stand out" and so on. I think you see where I am going.

I have been totally wrong before but usually, when I encounter people with this style at my school, they are unemployed and spend their copious amounts of free time doing jack shit. Normal looking people do it too, but I say this because most employers I know would not hire someone with that "look at me" appearance.

I know my opinion is totally full of bias and super lame, overly conservative and closed-minded and you can give me every argument in the world as to why I'm wrong and I am sure that most of them will be correct, HOWEVER, it's a feeling I have that I really can't help. I don't treat them with any disrespect but I am allowed to have my opinions and I do keep them to myself.
