Is it normal to think that a bigger head circumfrence must mean a bigger brain?

I have a very large head, my HAT size is the biggest available without going to a specialised made to measure milliner.

It is 63cm in circumference. No one really notices though.

I think i must (?) have a bigger brain, and as brain size is correlated to intelligence, i am probably a Mutation, the next evolutionary step?

Neanderthals had a bigger skull and look what happened to them. You're a step down on the evolutionary scheme of things. Also, it's not the the brain size that counts, it's how you use it. Einstein had a normal sized brain but he had more ganglion than usually present in a "normal" brain. Sorry to be a negative Nancy but to sum it up, you're not more intelligent nor are you going up the evolutionary scale.

"Two recent studies have measured brain size per se by means of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and found correlations with IQ in the .30 to .40 range (Andreasen et al., 1993; Willerman, Schultz, Rutledge, & Bigler, 1991)."

        That really doesn't prove anything....

It's not the size of the thing it's how you use it *cough*. I did measure my own to see how I compare though.

Lol let's see this gigantic head of yours. I might have to perform a lobotomy, just to let you know.

Like LC basically said, bigger doesn't always mean smarter :)

Nguyen & McDaniel's 2000 meta-analysis[3] found similarly, as did McDaniel's 2005 "Big-brained people are smarter: A meta-analysis of the relationship between in vivo brain volume and intelligence":

Hm, that sounds very interesting. I will have to check that out, could you give me a link or two?
