I have two really best friends IN REAL LIFE !! who have lots of online friendss, that they say are just as important to them as me in real life. I get annoyed about this, is this normal to think they should care more about friends they see and hang with every day instead of people they have never met except online
I think you're insecure and probably a crappy friend. I have online friends as well. My best friend has been my online friend for something like 6 years. A friend is a friend whether they're far away or not.

You sound jealous and insecure. Sometimes, online friends are as good as offline friends.
Sometimes you can make real good friends online that become great friends when you meet. It is just like life, not everyone fits what you are looking for but some do. Same thing with online friends. You just have to be aware of those that misrepresent themselves.
Some people can not make any friends. When you are going to school and the only one not getting laid or with a cool car you tend to get looked down upon. Kids priorities don't seem to be the greatest. The kids who are miserable in school are usually the ones doing what they are suppose to. These are usually the people spending all there time online since they need something to occupy there time and a way to communicate which they cant find in real life.
seems like you may be a little jealous, which is okay b/c jealousy is a common human emotion. but you shouldn't let it upset you. there's no real definite description of what a friend or best friend can/can't be. it can be your off spring, your pet iguana, you favorite slot machine at a casino, the imaginary alien you made up as a child or the carton of Häagen-Dazs i devour each night befoe i go to bed. whatever the case, as long as your friend's online friends aren't hurting them, then it really shouldn't matter how close they consider them. don't put yourself in an unnecessary competition. appreciate the friends you have!
