Once I had horrible nightmares in which people would die, etc. my brother told me that if you die in a dream, you die in real life. That's why you wake up before you die. The nightmares happened almost daily and got to a point where I was too scared to sleep and got a dreamcatcher.
I read that death in a dream doesn't translate to death in real life, it could mean youre worried about something or going through phase of change.

Well you can die if you die in a dream, its MORE likely to spazz awake when/before you die because your brain believes its dying, ect.
Iv died in a dream and i didnt wake up but as far as i can tell im alive.
Sorry but if you do die because you died in your dream, how would people know that you where dreaming about dying? Its a stupid old wifes tale. like the guy above me I've died in a dream before and all that happens was I woke up in another dream place.
Eh, I've died in my dreams before and I'm still here.
But, really. You shouldn't have to worry about that. Dreams and nightmares help us get through different scenarios that could occur in real life.
And just how would your brother know that for a fact?
I mean think about it.... how would you prove it?
He's just saying that to scare you. It's a lie.
There have been a few isolates occurrences of people dying in their dreams and for real, but the cause was always heart failure. Sounds like he was trying to fuck with you, it's an almost nonexistent risk
