Is it normal to think he's now too hot for me?

I have been talking to this guy online for a while now and he has never been shy about complimenting the way I look.. always full of flattering comments and I thought okay maybe I am a match for him. I have always thought he is quite attractive but the thing is the more pics he posts the hotter he gets, I mean like he looks like a God. The thing is I am starting to feel too ugly for him like he's far too high for me to reach. Is this normal!

We always judge ourselves the harshest.

He obviously thinks you're attractive, hence the compliments & ongoing interest.
If you two have been talking for a while I have to assume there's something there beyond physical attraction.
Not all guys are shallow cunts

Not too unusual to think, however if he's interested in you/compliments you so often... wouldn't you think he feels you are attractive enough for him?

Awwww.... It's normal, of course it is. Just remember some people are more photogenic than others! Keep you expectations lower!

I, for instance, am a fraud - my pictures look so much better than what I really look like!

    It's embarrassing :(

This is true. On a site once deemed the network for "lookers".. Met up with a guy for dinner. His pictures were so promising. He looked polar opposite in person though, I am not shallow whatsoever. He was basically incredibly photogenic and not my type in person.

The only other person I met from that was someone I just had a lot in common with. Although (physical attraction alone) he didn't seem like my type in his pictures, I figured a coffee date couldn't hurt. He turned out to be gorgeous beyond comprehension. Imagine the dark haired "wolf" from True Blood. Italian and everything nice, too.

Sometimes the better they look in pictures, they may appear quite different in person. The average seeming person: total knock out hottie. Being photogenic is the issue, if there is any... set no expectations.

All in all, give it a shot at least. He may be both. Attractive, nice and even better in person?

I'm telling ya, I actually think it sucks to be photogenic. I'm not completely, I just know my good angles, but I can never bring myself to show the really bad ones.

Last guy I met like that was very very good looking in his pics... but then in person I was disappointed.

  • Maybe he likes you for who you are? Or maybe you fit his preference of physical appearance more than you fit your own?

Try it out. Not gonna get anywhere with self doubt.

Most people judge themselves too harsh. I feel like the guy I'm seeing is far too good for me, but that's not based on our looks but on his personality and how supportive and kind he is.
It's an awful feeling really but apparently he likes me so I try to improve as a person for his sae.
