Is it normal to think everything i touch is going to give me a static shock?

I wore my ugg boots to work for a while and they rubbed along the carpet and i got a few shocks when i touched metal, but ever since then i think every single thing everywhere is going to give me a static shock! it's driving me crazy as it makes me hesitate every time i'm about to pick something up and open a door or a window or get in the car etc. Does anyone else get this?

      Agreed.
In other words, you need to un-condition yourself over time.
The best way to do this is not get shocked for a while.
Then BAM big SHOCK you'll be over it. Actually it won't be that dramatic!

There are these corners at my workplace that like to shock me. I have learned to stop touching them as I pass by.

  • The other day at work I kept getting shocked. The worst was when I went to drink from the water fountain and it shocked my tongue. XP
