Is it normal to think cartoons where written while on weed?

Haven't you had the sensation that some cartoons only make sense if you are a bit high? The Pink Panther seems totally weed-inspired, for one. It's like... How else would the writers come up with those brilliantly simple storylines?

I hate when people say that. Not everything creative has to be drug-fueled, some people just have a mind for it.

  I used to hate that too, until I realized weed is not a bad thing.
  I didn't mean it as an insult or to disrespect the work of the wirters/animators.

You are all right.
it doesn't make animators necessarily better
but it makes me a better audience, that I can tell. :P

(I think i pay more attention to detail and enjoy it much more)

I agree, some cartoons make so much more sense when you're high. Or you just "get them" more.
And you think people must have been high to come up with them, but the reality is they probably weren't.

Sometimes writers smoke weed and sometimes they don't. Doesn't really make a difference imo
