The more I observed, the more I have such a conclusion.

Today I read a news, a leader of a gangster group died, his funeral got 3000 gangsters together to memory him.

This kind of thing makes you wonder the world is designed for people who have no heart, no moral, no feelings....Only being tough you can survive...The toughness are including thick face, criminal tendency, double standards, lies and lies and lies...If you are not thick face type, you may probably ends like a loser to those who have no problems to steal, to cheat, to lie...

How do you feel about the kindness nowadays?

    It's a following; they're not there just for the crime or anything, but rather for the sense of purpose and belonging. Most gangs, cults, and such search for people with very sad backgrounds that made them feel trapped in a situation that seems impossible to overcome. What the leader does is offer new hope and something to live for, while the subordinates formed a family among themselves under the leader's care and guidance.

    As for kindness, it's needed. The only problem with kindness is people tend to associate it with gullibility, weakness, or ulterior motives; so when some people are confronted with a genuinely kind person, they're extremely distrustful or see it as an opportunity to take advantage. Along with that, kind people need to learn to be assertive and become more wise about the company they keep.

    You said it yourself: 3000 gangsters. Birds of a feather...

    And while you may indeed have somewhat of a point, the mere fact that sociopathic types so often end up dead or in prison seems to suggest that they're evolutionary losers.

    Nope. Wrong. You can be nice. Just don't be weak about it. You need balance. Be nice and kind but also be strong and tough. Be nice to those who show you kindness and be tough against those who seek to harm you in some way. Don't start shit but don't take it either.

    Women perpetuate bad behavior in men. Nice guys finish last, kind guys are seen as weak and a pushover. A lot of women prefer inconsiderate jerks to nice guys.

    Being kind and nice doesn't get you a medal. It is however a key part of empathy, relating with others and creating friends.

    Tealights is right about the family aspect. Essentially their second father died, and regardless if your dad was a saint or a stern taskmaster you'll be there at the end.
