Is it normal to text people in the middle of the night

Sometimes when I'm lonely and awake when everyone I know is asleep, I'll just text them so I know they'll see it when they wake up. I hardly get the time to talk to them during the day so I just want a way to talk to them. No ones had a problem with it so far but the concept just seems weird to me.. Idk

    Why not use the phone to call them? Wake them up and have a chat. That's what good friends are for, when you are unable to sleep, and lonely, late at night.

      Because the point is you texting till you fall asleep

      actually talking to someone would probably have the opposite effect and keep you awake longer and no one would get any sleep

    I assume it's normal because I'm guilty of it and the people I talk to were guilty of it too

    I'm assuming it's something you do when you're having a slight insomnia, because eventually you fall asleep during the process.

    And how many times if you woken up realizing you didn't finish the text you swore you finish and send

    I get texts from people all the time. Since I know a lot of them. Lots of people. GEEZ!! So many FREAKING PEOPLE!! I'm practically drowning in people.
