Is it normal to still love someone that you've been together with for a good while only for them to completely stop texting or calling you to later on get a message out of the blue from them saying that they dumped you for someone else and that they didn't want to tell you sooner because they didn't want to hurt you?

    When you say together, you only mention texts and calls: were you actually together in any other sense? Whatever, it's normal to still want someone who dumped you but it's a lost cause so keep busy and you'll get over it.

    This person is dishonest: the "didn't want to hurt you" story is so common and it's bullshit: it really means h/she didn't care enough about you to be honest with you.
