I'm the kind of person that admires good looks, so for more than 20 yrs I have "accumulated" this kind of crushes on people, with some of them the feeling was mutual. But up until now I still feel almost the same, even though I don't necesarily keep contact w/ them. Well IIN?
All I can really say to this is, it happens. I know that I get crushes on people, and most of the time it takes me a very long time to get over them. I know that when I dont see them anymore, that feeling that I have for them can still be burning inside for a while(sometimes years). I've also had times when I finally did get over them, and I hadn't seen the person in months to sometimes even a year or two, and I pass them by on the street, or bump into them at the store, and think to myself, "Wow! I can't forget how I used to feel about that person.". Then the feeling kinda creeps up on me again.
It happens. I think its normal. But I don't think its normal if it gets to the point where you're either stalking them, or it runs your life, keeping you from pursuing anyone new because of a crush thats growing into really nothing(being that you no longer are in contact with them.). If you want that crush to grow into possibly something nice, call them up and catch up like old times.
I dont still have feelings for every single person ive liked. I just get strong feelings for a person that im crushing at that time. I hate that!
