Is it normal to still feel light headed weeks after quitting smoking weed?!!??

I quit smoking weed about 2 weeks ago but i still feel light headed, sometimes drowsy and dizzy. I specifically quit smoking weed (keep in mind that i smoked every single day for about 9 months)so my mind can be clear. i was tired of the foggy feelings, and not being able to think clearly. Also whenever i was asked a question i tend to "pause" for a sec before i can give an answer which i did not like at all. it's been 2 weeks since i smoked and i noticed some slight improvements. BUT I still feel drowsy, dizzy, and light headed.

Usually i think "maybe it's because i need some sleep" but after sleeping for about 12 hours or so i don't feel any different. So i want to know if this is normal? and if so how long will it last? OR do i have a problem? and what will you (yes you) recommend?

Thanks for your answers in advance!

i take a few joints every 2 or 3 weeks, i never break that rule, maybe you should do the same, weed is cool but when i do it to much it kinda distorts the time flow and makes me feel confuse, so i just keep it low, maybe you should do the same... weed is not bad is actually really fun but you dont have to abuse it...do everything in moderation(and im not talking just about weed)

Wow I thought I was the only one. Well if it makes you feel any better same thing happened to me and it took almost 4 months for that dizzy light-headed feeling to go away mine was extremely powerful to the point where I would have to sit down sometimes. Marijuana won't kill you but it still is drug containing tetrahydrocannabinol and just like anything else in the world if you do it for a very long time you can damage your brain. The good news is it will recover pretty much all the way but it will take time personally I've had the hardest time quitting but I know best thing to do is just stay away from it all together there is no moderation for some people like me I'm going through the same thing right now I hate that dizzy feeling anyways bottom line it's just your brain chemistry trying to bring itself back slowly but surely you'll be alright.

I have smoked weed daily since the age of 12 and 3-8 blunts a day since age of 14....I am almost 32 now and had to make a trip to the er because i thought I was having a heart attack...in reality I have severe acid reflux (aka gerd), which I attribute to my late night munchies habits...since my trip to the er 5 days ago I have not smoked and have started to exemplify many of the symptoms mentioned...the most bothersome is the lightheadedness I have and the increased anxiety which exacerbates my gerd...few years back I quit for a cpl months but smoked cloves and I had lightheadedness but not as severe...weed withdrawal coupled with nicotine withdrawal is almost unbearable....do I want to smoke, yes I do but I hope I can stay strong and refrain from it...I wish I was as fortunate as Pauline and didnt have any withdrawal symptoms....this site has somewhat put my mind at ease...keep on keep in on

THC stays in your fat deposits for about a month, so your cannabinoid receptors are still being stimulated

I remember smoking up every day when I was in college. Don't remember getting dizzy after I quit though. Weed affects different people differently. If you're getting dizzy it might mean that parts of your body are addicted to weed, and don't work properly without weed. You DEFINITELY don't want to start smoking weed again.

I honestly dont know how to answer this, because Ive smoked pretty regularly for 3 years, and when Im high, Im high. When Im not, I feel completely normal.
But I rarely lose my lucidity. Not at all on weed, and it takes a lot of alcohol/etc before I stop thinking straight.

I'm no scientist but last time I checked it takes THC longer than two weeks to eliminate from your body. That's why marijuana can be detected in a UA for up to a month. To that end you may still be feeling residual effects. After a month, you may need to get checked out if you still feel odd. As far as permanent damage, I doubt it.

How do you know if this person isn't an athiest or some sort of "religion" that doesn't involve heaven or hell? And simply cannabis isn't enough to make someone go to "hell," it definately does not make one a bad person.
