I dated this guy 3.5 years ago... He was my first crush, first bf, first relationship and my first love.... we dated for 4 years..eventually we broke up.. he became my first and only enemy too. I despise him.. after all the evil stuff that he has done to me in the past. In spite of all the nasty things that he has done, I still dream about him when am asleep. I dream about us reconciling. I never ever wish to see him again but I wonder why I dream about him. Is it normal?

    Entirely normal. Unfortunately. I often still dream of an ex who treated me appallingly years ago. Things unresolved can pop up in dreams.

    Give it some time.

    I felt similar about a woman when I was young. Ten years later I was looking up her dad (we stayed in contact for a year or so after I lost contact with her) and I found his obituary :(. In his obituary she was listed (with her new married name) and I found her on FaceBook. That was a few years ago and we still talk or email once in a while. There is nothing between us and I am grateful we went our own ways but it was also nice to talk with her after so long.

    Maybe you do want to reconcile but you're in denial. There's nothing unusual about wanting closure after a bad relationship.
