IF you hate being alone at new year, why don't you start planning the next one well in advance so that you're not by yourself?

I've spent a couple of new years by myself and also xmas this year and I don't find it any big deal, it's only another day on the calendar.

Being lonely is another issue and if that's what's bothering you then you need to do something about it

    That's a hard one and I feel for you, but the only way to end loneliness is to get out in the world and find some other lonely people who have something in common with you apart from loneliness. You must have some hobbies or interests you could share with other people

  Well said. I think being with the bad people just triggers social anxiety anyways. Though being alone triggers the generalized anxiety. :)

Spending New Years alone isn't a bad thing. Celebrating the new year is kind of pointless anyway.

I will be spending mine with my family, but it still feels like I'm spending it alone especially when I'm curled up against my computer. Remember, you are not alone.

at least you can do what you feel like doing, instead of listening stupid parents jokes and shitty music (like i do). so don't complain. go out and drink some vodka, you'll be fine, trust me.

  Ha! Alcohol isn't an option due to health issues, but something like that would be good. Interestingly, I got pulled over at the checkpoint despite being one of a small percentage of people in the area that wasn't drunk off my ass.

I have a boyfriend, but we didn't spend Christmas or new year together. He went interstate to spend time with his family, while I was at home, alone.

It's sad, but I'll get over it.
