Is it normal to spend 30$ on a cigarette lighter?

Went to one of the local hed shops and bought a bad ass vector jet flame withs a built in cigar punch, it's a freaking awesome lighter.... But it costs almost 30$ and has a lifetime warranty. Problem is... I told my GF how much I spent on it lol. She flipped absolute shit. She hates that I smoke in the first place (even though she does as well). I got it specifically because you can refill it with 14x filtered butane. It makes the flavor or whatever you're smoking come out a lot more. Plus the jet flame burns it a lot more quickly. You can snap a 3 gram bowl in one go if u burn it right. I used to have to use two bics at once to do that.

Most expensive zippo I've ever bought was about 50 quid, was well worth it though.

It's your money, and she has no business telling you how to spend it.
I always try to buy long lasting, high quality products over short lived cheapo alternatives, even though they inevitably cost more upfront. Sounds like you made a pretty solid investment there, mate.

If you aren't living together, sharing expenses, or combining your finances...I fail to see how it is any of her business what you spend YOUR money on.

Normal. I've spent $300 on a stuffed animal on eBay. Worth every dollar in my book.

It doesn't make you a bad person. If you cant enjoy your money you may as well give it away and live in a box.
Ill bet your chica has wasted much more than that on lip gloss or shoes or hair scrunchies or some similar trifle.

I voted normal. What wouldn't be normal is if you bought the item and didn't use it, but clearly you're using it.

  • It's normal for nice things to be expensive.
