Is it normal to smell your fingers after touching anything and everything

I cant help but to smell my fingers after touching something whether it be the kitchen bench, handling fish food or even after taking the garbage out. Well just about anything I just cannot resist it, sounds pretty stupid to me but that is why I am asking.

    Sounds like an OCD behavior that you've done so much that it just comes naturally also it may be do to the subconscious of your brain remembering smells, just my opinion.

    I smell my fingers after sticking them up my butt, they usually smell like shit, but I keep checking.
