Is it normal to sleep for at least 18 hours in a day after spraining an ankle?
I sprained my ankle [Left, if you're cuurious] on Tuesday morning rather badly, but only went to the walk-in centre to have it looked at rather than seeing the doctor on Wednesday as I wanted to see how it would be throughout the day.
There, I was told to go to the A&E department of my local hospital because I could need an X-ray.
However, my ankle was just given a quick lookover and touch and I was told that it was bruised rather than broken; and that the pain would take a few days to subside but that the swelling could last for a couple of weeks. I've put a bag of frozen peas on it and taken a couple of ibuprofen on Thursday and a couple just now.
It is now 2am on Saturday. My ankle hurts a bit, but miwday up on my shin has a dull pain too.
I feel a bit sick and not really up to eating - though I know I should - I have the worst stye I've ever got and I think I have a cold sore or two.

I know there are worse things to worry about, but I've never had something like this happen to me before and was looking for advice/input from people with previous experience. Some vaguely sympathetic noises would be nice as well, but no pressure XP
