Is it normal to show an emotion even though you are not sad emotion?

So a few days ago my sister went missing for a few hours and I started crying but I did not really feel sad it's like this every time something sad happens. I would cry but I am not sad

Like fake crying or it just happened without you trying? If it was fake you’re probably just not a very emotional person, I can remember fake crying at my grandmas funeral as a kid. If it just happened without you having any control over your response, you were probably just in shock and not feeling the emotion yet

I am not trying it but even if it was shock I never feel sad after the event that makes me cry. By that I mean feel sad about the event

Happens sometimes for people who are emotionally reserved. I dont get sad much. Though how often I cry hasn't changed.
