Is it normal to see random images of places inside my head while writing ?

When I write, read or listen to music I see clear images of places that I've been to or seen. Sometimes I see places from video games I've played. Those places are completely unrelated with the text or the song.

      Well, I don't do it on purpose. I just, like, automatically see them. I don't write poems or anything. I see them when I write blogs or long posts in forums.
