Is it normal to secretly look forward to disasters in the world?

I live in a country where nothing happens, it's stable as can be. Very little violent crime, good economy and otherwise no challenges in life. We don't even get the occasional natural disaster like hurricane or earthquake. Is it normal to secretly think this is a bit too boring, and look forward to major disasters or otherwise bad news to happen? When things like extreme weather or armed conflicts happen somewhere in the world, I am excited and glued to the news to watch the body count rise. Even though I know logically that it is very bad news and I would hate it to happen to me.

The day you find out your mother/father or someone close to you dies, or something tragic happens to you, then you won't be so excited to fawn over tragic news or hope for natural disasters that destroy life just because you are bored. Until then find a hobby. Geez!

I like natural disasters. Especially hurricanes. Human disasters like wars or terrorist attacks are too tragic for me to enjoy.

IIN is a disaster. That's why I love it. I am proud to contribute to the hopeless pathetic nature of life here in cyberspace.
