Is it normal to say your gay and never ever want to date people of same sex?

I see people like this sometimes. They say they are gay, and advertise is yet are never interested in people of the same sex. Sometimes they are crazy about the other sex, but when asked stuff like (Would you ever date someone of the same sex) they always say stuff like "Uh no why"? Are they just supportive straight people that think being supportive makes them Gay? It just seems really misleading. There are some people who hide it since they think people will judge them. If your advertise it and walking around with rainbows and crap and like "Deal with it" you obviously dont have that much of a hang up.

    There are some posers but most of us have standards. "Would you date so and so?"
    No because I am not attracted to every single girl out there.

      So are they just trying to look cool? asking "If you would date a female" when you are a female has nothing to do with standards. You can say "Yes but I like this type of female".

        Probably. I just really don't get these kind of people because it makes us look bad like bring gay is suddenly a trend.
