Is it normal to say "well not really"

in any situation or response i utter the phrase "well not really" for e.g. when i'm asked to wash up i respond - well not really. When i am asked if my uncle saw me do that - well not really. When i am asked if i want dinner - well not really. is it normal to say not really so much

    If it's not what you mean then don't say it.

    I understand when you're anxious you can easily rely on automated responses but that one doesn't even work.
