Is it normal to say i love you so much if you're not dating the person?
Is it normal to say "I love You" to someone so much, if you're not even in a relationship to them?
I work with a guy who i've only known for about 3 months. We get along well, and he always sticks up for me and helps me and does all these nice things for me.
We spend alot of time at work together, and we used to play fight alot, like children. (we are in our twenties by the way.) so after he was done talking his mess one day, i walked away and he just stared at me and said, "I love you." It didnt sound like he was playing but i doubt it means actual love. My coworker also tells me that he always says that im so cute and that he loves me.
Ever since then, he randomly tells me he loves me. I just say Aww and i smile but i cant say it back. One day, he did make me feel bad and i guess he noticed and he apologized the next day and told me he loved me to death and would never be truly mean to me. i also rang him up for something at work that day, and he had to sign because he paid with a credit card and as his signature, he wrote, "I (heart) you" (he drew a heart.)
I can't imagine anyone actually saying it so often and actually meaning it. Especially since we haven't dated or done anything other than hug. Is this normal?
