Is it normal to remember all of your dreams, most of which are nightmares?

Ever since I was a young child (~3 yrs old), I've had vivid, intricate dreams. Some of them are recurring, and they're almost always violent/gory/horrific - and yes, they've been like that since I was a child as well. I'll dream 5 or 6 nights a week, with at least 3 of them being pretty graphic nightmares. I have dreams of a loop of people killing themselves, dreams of people dying graphically, bloody bodies in my basement, zombies, all that nonsense and beyond. Does anybody else have this?

My sister had a dream about the sky splitting and ripping. She saw the worlds above the sky and you could see the stars, but in her dream, she was the only one panicking when the world was going to "end".

I normally have happy dreams, but some of them have my friends or family getting hurt. They get better in the end, though.

I never remember my dreams unless they are nightmares. Its normal, the only then that sucks is in a bad dream you can never wake yourself up. Just drink hot tea or think happy thoughts before you sleep or pray it seems to help!!

Apparently we dream about 4-6 times per night, so hopefully you have good dreams that you just can't remember. I understand what you mean though. I had a long stretch where every dream I could recall was a nightmare (loved ones dying, being chased, falling, the undead, etc).
