Is it normal to push your eyes in because of anxiety

Like something cringey you did or said, is it normal to press your thumbs hard into your eyes and laugh in a high-pitched nervous giggle? So hard that you might be causing some damage because you're not really conscious in the moment?

I used to press my eyes too. I've always wondered if that's how I got astigmatism

    • Because people have weird habits that are weird but normal. I dunno if this is weird weird or weird normal.

        • Okay I'm gonna take this post down cause I don't like the responses, and I don't like people knowing that I do this.

We have no clue who you are since you're anonymous, so it probably doesn't matter if you posted that you did this. Sorry if no one here commented that it was normal, but something that could potentially damage your eyes just isn't normal.
