Is it normal to punish your partner for not listening to you?

My partner and I broke up. After which they told a friend to lie and pretend to be interested in them in hopes that I would get back to them. I did get back with my partner but its for a totally different reason. I knew I should be mad but I really did not care but I did not want her to think this was acceptable.

So I texted her a bunch of photos are spiders knowing shes spider phobic. I done stuff like this 3 times for different reasons. When I did she auctully came and apologized to me. Usually when we have a fight she ignores everything I say and wont acknowledge what I auctully told her but she listened this time. So.. Was this wrong? Like she keeps joking how she wants to murder my cat (Since she hates cats) but I love my kitty and I dont like the thought of anyone hurting my kitty cat.

You both sound as pathetically childish as each other.

would be funnier if you send real ones in to her house.

What... Anyway, sending her pictures like that is wrong yes. Her lying and talking about murdering your cat is also wrong. This relationship sounds very unhealthy.

Your gf must be pretty damn hard up to spend even a minute with such an immature child.

    • Generally I am the more mature one. Generally she makes up facts and say they are true "Since she likes it that way". Which drives me insane. When I did this generally a person would be mad about this. I simply did not care. Though often when you neglect such things people start to believe they can take advantage of you. So the most logical decision seemed to be to punish her and get across that this type of behavior is not something she should be doing. I was not sure what the correct response to this situation was so I used psychology.

Another really sick 'relationship', I guess. Punish is just not a word I apply in a relationship.

This is totally ridiculous. Yes! I find it absolutely unnecessary to involve animals and external issues into your relationship. Keep it clean mahn.

You two are just weird. End the relationship before one of you ends up being killed.

Anuses do not scream. At most they do sometimes emit low intensity sounds.

Sounds of the humpback whale emanate from the porcelain throne.

How about talking to her about those things when you're not fighting and stop resorting to things like playing on her phobias? I agree with deshikd, definitely an unhealthy dynamic.
