Is it normal to post people my hair as a present

This started a few years ago when I started cutting my own hair. I didn't know what to do with it so I just put it in a pepsi bottle. This became the hair bottle. After filling the bottle I threw it away. This pained me a lot to do so I swore that next time I would put it somewhere safer.

I began putting it in a envelope. Once it was full of my hair I sealed it and posted it, with no address in a randomly selected post box. I hope that one day someone will open it and find my hair and that it will spill all over them so I will be, in a sense, with them.

I know the sad reality is that this will probably happen to a random Royal Mail worker. Next time I will find the address of a vague acquaintance and send it there. It won't be for a while because I made the stupid mistake of leaving my hair in a notebook which I dropped at uni, spilling it on the floor. My friend laughed but it hurt a little. She told me to write this.

Is this normal?

    in fact its slightly deranged...

No one wants that its unsanitary...
Why not grow it out long then you can have it cut and used to make wigs for cancer patients. That way you know its not going to wast, and your not being creepy.

Other peoples hair is unsanitary ...it has your natural oils on it ...and its been where you have been so covered in contaminants from yourself and whatever its around after you cut it.

Ok it was an idea... im not sure how short your hair is now. But 10inch is needed for a wig.

What your doing is just gross.

        • I didn't mean it in a mean way, I'm a boy so I don't want it that long. It's about 4 inches right now.

Ah I understand why you might not want it long then.

Its just no one wants other peoples random hair...people would be disgusted by it.

Are you feeling ok? Taking anything funny? XD
Who the hell mails hair to random people?
If I found hair in a letter, I would probably shout a random insult and then throw it away.
What would I do with your hair?! It would just dirty my floor and then I'd have to clean it! Pointless!

This sounds very Victorian(the Victorians were extremely sentimental). They used to give their loved ones locks of hair especially if they were going off to war or something.
Its nor common these days but its harmless enough. But it would make more sense to give your hair to someone you love.

Not normal, but not bad either. I actually found this to be rather touching and a little sad.

Its not normal, but as long as you are not hurting anyone its fine. I would suggest stoping sending it to others. If you keep with your self then its no problem.

    • I nearly sent some to my friend in his christmas card, but I was scared his parents might open the letter and think I was weird. It seems a shame to keep it to myself.
