Is it normal to only like anal if it's bare?

The first time I did anal, it was pretty uncomfortable. It wasn't painful, per se, but I really didn't like the feeling and I made him stop before he got it all the way in.

A few months went by, I was dating a different guy, and I agreed to try it again. It was still uncomfortable, I didn't really get anything out of it, but I let him go until he finished. I did it one more time after that with him, and it was the same thing, there was a little bit of pleasure, but I was mostly just laying there and waiting for him to finish.

Then I agreed to do it with my current boyfriend. This was different from the first three times, we were doing it out of necessity because we didn't have any condoms, whereas the guy had used a condom every time before that. The lack of condom made all the difference for me...feeling the direct skin to skin contact, being able to feel every vein and every detail of his member, and especially feeling him shoot inside me at the end...it was an amazing feeling, unlike anything I've ever experienced. Light years ahead of the first three time I did it, with the condom on. It's close, but I think I might even prefer anal without a condom to vaginal with a condom.

Is this normal? I've done a fair amount of research into anal, and I've never seen anybody say doing it bare makes it better. Do other girls feel the same way and nobody talks about it? Or am I weird?
