Is it normal to only get video game nausea from playing spyro?

What is says on the tin.

I actually play a lot of games all the time and I have never once encountered this problem. But I recently went on a nostalgia binge and started playing all these PS1 games from my childhood, and when I got to Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, it gave me this chronic headache that lasted for hours.

The nausea gets so bad that I have to lie down and do nothing for hours until it goes away, or throw up for (almost) instant relief.

Is this normal?

It's the way the screen moves in that particular game. I get video game nausea too so it's sort of common I'm guessing.

Good lord ever since I was like 6 spyro made me nauseous and gave me a headache I have no idea why. You're not alone, I usually just take Advil or Migralief though if I really want to play.

The only video game that ever made me sick was guitar hero.

It's just in general, doesn't matter if I'm swimming or flying, even running around give me a headache! I haven't played the other ones recently so I'm not sure, but when i played them in the past i dont remember getting as nauseous as i am now.

Aww, that's unfortunate... I love the Spyro ps1 series! Are you using an emulator or the real thing? And which other ps1 games did you play recently?

I'm using an emulator on my pc (since I don't actually own a PS1 anymore), but I still have all the game discs ( which I only recently found), which is what inspired me to download an emulator and play them again.

I've been playing things like Rampage: World Tour, Rayman, Metal Slug, Twisted Metal, Warhawk, Crash Bandicoot: Warped, and Chulip. I haven't had this problem with any of these games, which is what got me really curious. Especially since the Spyro series has always been one of my favourites !
