Is it weird that I simultaneously want to cut my hair really short but want to keep it long because my ex-boyfriend liked it that way?
Even if you were still with him you should do what you want to do regardless of what other people think. Just do it, otherwise you'll always have that "what if?" You only live once babeh!

Wigs!!! Seriously, I personally need to invest in some because I change my hair a lot. Curly, straight, blonde, red, brown, long, short, side bangs, blunt bangs, no bangs. I've had it all. I have extensions but I'm saving for some wigs. A lot of people recommend them.
