Is it normal to not really believe in germs?

The idea of germs just doesn't seem realistic to me. I'm a firm follower of science and I support pretty much anything science says but these "germs" just seem too far out, like the boogie man or something. Just not very believable. I know I can see them under a microscope, but what if those are something else and they're lying to us? Even though it's not, it sounds like something Dove or another soap company would make up to increase their sales. Plus, I never get sick from "germy" things, and neither does anyone else I know, a very weak correlation. Is this logical? Is it normal?

Germ is like dirt, kind of a meaningless term until you define what it is. That doesn't mean it is fake or made up, it just means you literally don't know what you are talking about.

Are you an idiot? Do you know what bacteria and viruses are? How can someone who says they believe in science not believe in microorganisms?

Hmmmmm. So you don't think germs will hurt you. Go work in Africa on the Ebola epidemic.

You should just accept what 'they' say and not ever try thinking. It obviously is not good for you.

Lol, I can't make up my mind if this is stupidity or trolling. Either way, I found it kind of funny.

A lot of people have staphylococcus aureus on their skin, that doesn't mean that licking your arm will cause an infection because we also have a really good immune system.

We don't all have "really good" immune systems: how about anyone on cortisone or cancer treatment?

I was talking in general. Obviously someone taking immunosuppressants will have a comprimised immune system. That being said though the immune system comprises of different systems, some drugs may only have an effect on one or two of these responses.

Germs and bacteria is very real. Its too bad our smart phones aren't capable of microscopic zoom. Until we as a human race start to colonize outside our planet and into space - where we have the technology to "eradicate" this germ or that bacteria, i say we just gotta suck it up.

They are real but not in the way most people talk about them... Either that or the average person has a weak immune system
