Is it normal to not like any seafood at all?

I find it ironic that the most expensive foods are typically the grossest. Snails, rare mushrooms, and of course, fish. I hate fish. I hate the smell, and every time I eat when I am around it, I feel sick. It makes me feel absolutely nauseated.

Everyone around me however thinks it's the cat's meow. They turn down delicious steak, chicken, and lamb, in favor of something that probably ate your poop (And smells worse, too). And worse, they expect me to do the same. They think I am broken inside because I don't eat fish.

Then they tell me about how people who avoid fish have lower intelligence, even though my IQ is 130. Besides, fish is loaded with mercury. There are no positives to eating it. It's expensive, disgusting, smelly, vile, and loaded with toxins.

Sometimes my nose starts to itch terribly around fish (especially everyone's favorite crab and shrimp), as if I am experiencing an allergic reaction to the smell.

If you don't eat any fish...you could get a goitre...look it up. You need to eat fish to be healthy.

Goitres are rare in the US since our salt is iodized. Only in countries with uniodized salt do you have to eat fish to get a goitre.

I'm with the OP 100%... I can't stand any seafood and the mercury bleh. I don't know why things like snails are so expensive either. I'm a very picky eater. I think you're normal OP.

I used to like seafood more but Im finding it less appealing lately. Fish is becoming yucky to me.Not sure why. I still love lobster but I don't eat it because they are so creepy and also I hate the fact that they boil them alive.

    It's your choice.
I love fish. Just about any seafood.
However, truffles taste horrible! Ate some once, never eating truffles again. Even if they're free.
Snails - never eaten, never will.

It's a matter of taste, you're normal. Your friends said that thing about the IQ probaby because fish are known to contain omega-3 fatty acids and those are known to be good for your heart and brain. I love all kinds of fish but I'm perfectly fine if someone doesn't. Why do people even bother, huh?

The Omega content in fish is a positive. I do agree with you on the smell, though.

First, only deep water fish contains mercury. Second, it's expensive because of the regulations, transportation, and high labor cost because some of them are dangerous to catch. It's not particularly uncommon for someone to die or get injured on say, an alaskan crab run. The lower intelligence thing is bull and offensive.
Also, it sounds you mostly have a problem with salt water fish. What about salmin or tilapia? Whether you like it or not there's nothing wrong with your opinions and tastes.
