Because of my job I have to wake up at 3am. Which means I have to go to bed by 7pm. I also work 7 days a week. Since most social activities happen in the evening, does this mean I can't date anyone? I can't "just find another job" either, I'd have to relocate far away and I have joint custody of my son with my ex-wife.
You can do two things: 1. start online dating and find someone that's ok with your schedule or has a similar one or 2. think about finding a better job for you because this job sounds like it's eating up any chance of a life you have.
There are a lot of professions on a schedule similar to yours. A Baker comes immediately to mind.
I doubt you'd really have any trouble finding someone who has a similar schedule. However, I doubt that you will find anybody who would invest too much in a relationship with someone who works 7 days a week. Even if you aren't a work-a-holic, it doesn't bode well for spending much time together.
Not all social events happen in the evening. There are plenty of things that happen during the day. How do you get time to visit with your son? You can meet like minded single parents while you are spending time with your son.
Maybe you can find someone who's an up all nighter like you. There are people like that btw.
Don't try online dating, it's bleh.
Secondly, since you are way too busy your free time should be spent focusing on parenting your son not on some random woman. When you do get a better job, I hope, you can focus on your son and if you have time left over then to a woman. It's all about priorities
