Is it normal to not fit into hollister clothes?

I'm a size medium in all pants but in hollister, I don't fit!

I just went there and tried on some for the first time ever because my friend actually likes the store. I thought what the heck, I'm only 128 pounds at 5'4 so I assume this caters to me too as I am slim/normal..NOPE. The shirts fit but I'm a large in them and the pants, no bueno. I could not get them up my legs! Actually, one pair I got up but it was like an inch too small to button! What gives? Is this place only for underweight people? My friend is 95 pounds at 5'3...she's a size 0 usually and a size small there. So is this who shops there? I didn't realize they didn't cater to healthy people and only unhealthy, sigh!

is it normal or is something wrong with my body? I'm thin, my belly is flat! I am athletic with normal slim legs/arms!

Hollister always runs way too small. I guess they only want little girls wearing their clothes.

Hollister runs really skinny. It's a great thing if you are skinny and have a hard time finding clothes. It sucks if you are even slightly thin...or bigger.

In most stores im a size 2 in pants but at Hollister I'm a size 3 or 5 which are their highest sizes. For shirts I normally wear smalls and at Hollister I have to buy extra smalls. It's just a sizing thing. The scores target age is petite 15-19 year old girls. All stores are aimed at different people! Find one aimed at your dimensions and don't feel bad you don't fit into hollisters dimensions. The majority of the population doesn't fit with hollisters

Hollister and Abercrombie pants are not made for bootys lol. I like them tight but not so tight I have to pee.

I shopped there once in high school and decided it wasn't worth it. I was 5'4" and 100lbs and their clothes did not fit me. I have a long torso and a butt sooo nothing was happening in there ha. after that experience, I never dared to go in Abercrombie. Just stick to American Eagle and don't shop at places that make you feel fat.

    • I'm in my twenties. My friends shop there and they're in their 20s and even 30s as well. I see teens and adults shopping there when I go as I think it's fine for most people. But I think I'll avoid it at all costs from now on! lol

They need to make a size 2 in their jeans and shorts. Because I actually like some of their stuff. 1 is tight on my crotch, 3 is too loose on the waist. Also, I think hollister is targeted mostly for young teens and teens, so I feel kinda weird when I go in there. not sure how old you are.

Normal. Different brands have different sizes and makes. I'm usually a size Small in shirts and a size 5/6 in pants, but when it comes to certain stores clothing, I find I have to go a size or two up because the clothing runs small.

Size medium in pants? ...wut? I thought pants only had number sizes.
Anyway, try another size? No need to make it into some kind of social justice issue hating on different builds. Geez.
I wear a size 6 in women's but in some juniors brands (like I'm thinking hollister is) I wear anywhere from 7 to 11. No big deal...

    • Well a size 7 which is what I am = a medium. I'm not hating on anyone. I think you missed the point of my post which was how I can't fit into hollister but I'm a size medium and 128 pounds at 5'4 and can't fit into their large. There is no larger size than large at hollister. So I'm thinking to fit into their large, I'd have to lose about 10 pounds..so I'd be considered large to them at 118 pounds 5'4. so then that means I'd be a medium at 108 pounds which is underweight for my frame size. So it's weird.

Oh, that is weird then. I looked just now, I didn't know they only went up to 11. I don't go to stores like that... Don't really get why anyone does , but I know it's "cool" to you high school kids...
