Is it normal to not be affectionate, especially around little kids and babies?

okay, im not made of stone, but I find it hard to express emotion and affection in situations which demand it, like comforting someone who needs it. And when im around little kids and babies, while other people are fussing and saying how cute they are and asking to hold them, im just not that bothered. its not that I don't like them, its just im not affectionate.

I do not enjoy being "around little kids and babies" at all. They smell, they are ugly, they are noisy and they are obnoxious. If they get too close I have an almost uncontrollable urge to make them disappear. Fortunately, they must sense this because they usually run to mommy crying if they get within arm's length. "No, lady, I didn't hit your kid? Why would I; I don't even know the little shit."

The social norm is your suppose to love babies and their always cute. Well I hate babies their pale, smell funny, and always have vomit on their collars. Like me after a night of binge drinking.

    Fuck babies.

  • I think people who overly show emotions and sentimentality are strange. I also think many people do it as an act to get attention.

  • I have a REALLY hard time comforting people. If someone is crying, it is hard for me to soothe them and hold them. I don't even want to put my hand on them unless it is someone I am romantically involved with...I stand there awkwardly, mainly because when I am upset I want to be left alone and wonder if it would be best if I left them alone as well.
