Is it normal to never smile?

In most cases, I never smile. It's not that I can't, or refuse not to, it's just something I don't naturally do. Even on a good day, talking to a good buddy or family member, I don't smile. A joke can get me to chuckle, but it's not like it glues a smile on my face for the next 10 minutes. The more I see people who smile the more abnormal I feel.

This IIN website is for people who never want to smile. When things get really disgusting, I will involuntarily smile just barely.

I'm smiling all the time. Maybe too much sometimes but a little nothing can make me laugh.

I guess there are people like you who just don't feel like smiling. I'm sure you are not the only one.

Some people are just more demonstrative than others. There could be two people that hear the same joke one will chuckle, the other might piss themselves laughing. It takes every kinda people to make the world go 'round.

On the other hand, if it makes you sad that you're not as prone to smiling as others, simply practice smiling, fake it 'til ya make it. Perhaps practice with a friend or therapist..probably, the more ya smile, the more you'll smile. If it doesn't "take" it's okay, really. Some people have more serious temperaments than others. I hope this helps.

I don’t smile a lot either. It’s just doesn’t come naturally to me. I mostly only smile for pictures but even then it looks a bit awkward. I also can’t help but notice that I don’t know how I laugh. I mean I chuckle and sometimes snort at funny things but I don’t know how I laugh.

I try to smile but it comes of as some twisted facial tick I think.

I rarely, if ever, laugh irl. If I do it's only when I find something hilarious.

I think most smiling and laughing is a fake social custom.

I used get told that I never smile, and get asked if I'm okay all the time when I was a kid.

    People are different.
    Nothing wrong with that.
That said, it is a turn off for a lot of people.
    Whether you're a waitress.
    At a job interview.
Meeting new people or friends of friends.
That part of body language is universal.
    I don't see anything wrong.
But, it is seen as cold.
