Is it normal to never had a headache

I've also been very fortunate and have never had a headache. I'm 67 and my son who is 42 has never had a headache. Also my grandfather (mother's father) never had a headache. I assume it's in the genes.

My father had severe headaches. My mother and two sisters also get headaches.

I'm just going to tell the full facts of things because I'm looking for a true answer. I'm roughly 30, an anonymous, but very abundant alcoholic (honestly, I'm quite over the threshold right now because normally I don't like to put my stuff out there on the internet, but I've always wanted to know and stumbled upon this page whilst internet surfing). I have started to get a headache a handful of times in my life (based on what others tell me they are), but they've dissipated within seconds. Trust me when I tell you, I've deserved numerous. I've blacked out well over 100 times (not bragging, more embarrassed than anything, but the hell with it since it is anonymous and I'm searching for truth). My only symptom is nausea the day after if anything at all. I even vaguely remember going to the hospital one time for alcohol poisoning, and in my stupor, asking the nurse why I've never had a headache (she very rightfully so ignored my request for clarity). I've been in superb health at some points in my life and horrendous in others (but my BP has always been good either way). I've been obese for the past 10 years approximately. My eyesight has also been deteriorating at a decent rate since I was a teenager, but even the squinting and blurry vision wasn't a catalyst. The one thing I can say is that I've always tried to stay away from pain killers whenever possible (not advocating against it, but I've known people to abuse them and with my addictive personality that I've been aware of since an early age, I've tried vehemently to endure out of fear of my weakness ^See Alcohol portion). Since I was about 13, I've only ever taken pain medication (OTC and prescription) for my wisdom teeth being pulled and kidney stones (once again, not bragging, just a coward). I've always been an instant awake morning person no matter how much I get if that matters. Here's a couple of brain related things for the end. I'm left handed, better at math than English, and I like the daytime better than the nighttime. I think that is all of the relevant facts (and more than likely not so relevant facts) that I could potentially tell you. I should at least mention that despite the sorrow some of the above may sound like, I'm a very happy person that loves life to the fullest (maybe because I don't get headaches :). This was very cathartic and, if all goes well, enlightening. Thank you for listening internet friends. I look forward to hearing your stories as well. "P.S. I very rarely get headaches, too. As a teenager I even wondered what it would feel like to have one. I could not conceive of the idea of my brain aching.

I am so jealous. I get at least 2 headchaes a week :(
I guess you're right-it is in our genes. My mum doesn't get headaches but my Grandma and I both suffer migraines.
