Is it normal to never had a girlfriend at age 21?

I'm 21 years old and never had a girlfriend before. I've never been in a relationship before...and they're many personal reasons for it (rocky upbringing, porn addiction, spend a lot of time alone) but is it normal? I like people, especially women and a very likable person but being in a relationship seems so foreign to me.

  • Absolutely normal. Don't worry about it, I'm 20 soon and never had a boyfriend (also a lot of personal reasons), and I can't imagine ever having one. It seems so weird XD
I'd say just continue life as normal... Someone might come along and you'll probably soon get used to it, and if they don't, the way I see it is it doesn't really matter. I don't think we're missing out on much in the long run.

  • In all honesty it probably isnt that normal, and this is from someone who never had a girlfriend until he was 22.

Maybe you should reach outside your comfort zone. Hey it's okay, I'm like that too. Kinda. Even tho I'm younger than you and I'm a girl..... But anyways, I think that this is very normal. And if you like it this way, then just keep doing what you love to do. And if you want some kind of relationship, than you should try to develop one. I'm not saying you should, I'm just giving advice :) but yeah developing one shouldn't be that hard. Just be yourself, and don't be afraid to try new risks, now if you really like someone, try not to screw it up, but then also they have to see the real you. But you can also take it slow, you don't have to show it all at once, but remember to show it. Now when I say show "it", I don't mean for you to get naked. I mean for you to go out there and show yourself, your personality, etc.
It's okay to be out of your comfort zone too. And trust me there are so many people that have never been in relationships before including me. :)
