Is it normal to name my pistol?

So i really enjoy making a personal bond with my firearms. For an example i named my pistol Taka (Pronounced Talk-a). lol im not really a fan of gun slang either.

    I Think it's normal to name guns, or any weapon really. It's like you know after naming it it's truly yours.

    A better bond.

    A lot of guys name their weapons. Both of them. And they usually spend a lot more time and care on the one that shoots bullets.

    Yep, it's normal to name an inanimate object. Completely unrelated, but I have a fox coin bank that I named Katharine.
