Is it normal to mix alcohol with valerian pills?

Every day before i go to bed, i have a glass of vodka and 10 valerian pills (200mg each). It helps me fall asleep because ive had terrible insomnia and nightmares since 2014. Been taking these together for a week now and i feel lightheaded throughout the day, but it helps me sleep. Should i stop taking them?

    I've drank myself to sleep for many nights over the past several years, and as already said, that's not healthy sleep... I would say one glass of vodka is not a big deal. But 10 valerian pills seems like a bit much.. Have you tried melatonin?

    sedation with alcohol doesn't help with healthy sleep, your just knocking yourself out poisoning your liver.

    Valerian is weak, mix them if you want. You're clearly an alcoholic if you drink a glass of vodka every night, so that's something to look into. You're better off with benadryl as a sleep aid.
