Is it normal to miss daughter's wedding angry at her mother of the bride choice

My daughter got married.I didn't go.I saw the pictures on fb , that is enough. My husband and son went by themselves. My son rubbed it in my face how fun it was without me.

Alot of our relatives think I am stupid for not coming.I am very close to my daughter. I don't have energy to do anything and I am hot all the time now. I don't like parties, I can't stand drinking or dancing. Also I don't like any of her friends.

I know they will be looking at me and judging me because that is what people do when you are mother of the bride. She has some friends her age, but she is friends with a lot of older women and WOMEN MY AGE. I don't understand it. I don't approve of who she had do the mother of bride duties. The woman is a horse faced lush and she stole my bf my sophomore year of high school. I told my daughter so and she said ' You can't have it both ways mom.She hung and sound pissed.

I understand social anxiety and illness but you must realize that its not normal to miss such an event because of that. It was very hurtful to your daughter I'm sure. Please apologize to her and explain exactly what's wrong. And yes get some medical attention too. Also holding onto old grudges is only going to harm one person, you.

Ok so your daughter got married and you're still holding a grudge you had in high school? That's just not right.

I think it is beyond pathetic you couldn't show up and be nice for one whole day.

Your writing ability is appalling. I hope you didn't write the wedding invitations.

it's just to get back at you for old arguments. some girls hold grudges forever because they make promises to themselves they'll never forgive you when their like 17 because you were abusing authority or power or whatever. if she's friends with people your age i can tell you its 99 percent out of spite to you and probably more than 99. 9. she'll forgive you eventually lol it really is kind of a stage she's going through as much as that pisses her off. she doesn't really hate you she just thinks she does.
