Is it normal to meet someone as kind as this?

When I was giving a presentation, I had a book passed around the class for further reading (and as a method for detracting attention from me). When the presentation ended and the book was handed back, I found a sticky note inside with: "You did well! :)" printed on.

I also happened to see the same person help an elderly lady across the road, offer an umbrella to a stranger and the like. She did this while unaware that I was in my car and happened to glimpse her.

Is this level of kindness normal?

    That's the world I grew up in. More and more it seems people are isolated in their rooms or cubicles, staring at a computer 10+ hours a day, having less and less human contact. Violence is everywhere, in the news, online and even in the games most people play. The world professes outrage at the beheadings of innocents, but does nothing. Is it any wonder that basic human kindness is the first casualty of this existence?

    Of course! I write little encouraging notes, things like quotes that made me feel better or changed my outlook, to strangers and leave them places. Ok, I'm not normal....

    normal? hmm I'd love to say yes, but I'm not so sure. But let it be an inspiration and hopefully someday it can become normal.

    O my gosh! That made me cry a little! They're soooooo sweeet!

    The last time I passed a note, it had a picture of a Cheeto bag...
    And when I helped an elderly woman, I helped her reach for the coffee at Target...
