Is it normal to masturbate non sexually?

I'm a female, 19. I'm in a good relationship with a lovely man, and we have great intimacy. I'm not an asexual/ace, and enjoy sex as much as the next person. However, most of the time when I am alone, I don't masturbate to pornography, books, or anything erotic. Instead I touch myself to music, or scenes in films that are not sexual at all. If the mood strikes me, which isn't often, I will sometimes think about sex while I do this, but that is only about maybe a 1/10 chance. I'm not going to stop if this is abnormal; I've suffered no ill effects, sexual or otherwise. But am I alone?
